Bailiffs getting paid
If it is true that the bailiffs are getting paid since the courthouse closed in March why is this happening. What the hell is going on. The bailiffs obviously are not essential employees and are not being assigned to work anywhere else so why should they be getting paid. Who's idea was this to pay non essential employees that are not working. Does the Broward County commissioners know about this. Wasting BSO budget money paying bailiffs to be on extended vacation while the rest of us continue to work thru this Coronavirus. This is really stupid on very many levels and poor management and supervision.

Turkey Detail
Hey how about instead of paying deputies to hand out turkeys why don't the sheriff put the bailiffs to work handing out turkeys. Put them to work doing something to earn their paycheck.

Bailiffs are history
The bailiffs will soon be out of a job, gone. They have not worked since March and will not be back next year. They will be out of jobs. Courthouse Closed bailiffs not needed. They are a drain on the BSO budget.

Furloughed or Layoffs
Are the bailiffs going to be furloughed or layed off. If the are laid off they can receive unemployment benefits. If they are laid off they can't. Will they receive a severance package if they are furloughed or laid off. The bailiffs deserve something for all of there years of service. This pandemic is causing alot of people to lose their jobs and it is not something to take lightly or people to ridicule or badmouthing the bailiffs. They have worked very hard for many years and do not deserve this.

Severance Package ???
A severance package ? Are you kidding, Hahaha. These old geezer over paid third rate security guards have been getting paid for years to sleep in the courtrooms. And they actually think that they deserve severance package. They are really funny. They been getting paid the whole time that the courthouse has been closed for almost a year. They lucky they got paid for sitting at home while the rest of us are working. Severance Package, Hahaha.

Bailiffs
Will the bailiffs be offered transfers to other positions so they can continue to have a job. Will the layoffs be according to who has seniority. What about the part time bailiffs will they be kept on working. The bailiffs have always been a very important part of bso at the courthouse and have been loyal employees for many years. They should be offered transfers instead of being layed off.

The bailiffs are not going anywhere. This is just some disgruntled turn key that is afraid to work with inmates. He/she thinks the wrinkled windbreaker wearing slobs are going to take over the baliffs duties in the courthouse. Never going to happen. The Judges don’t want some illiterate smelly thugs from Detention in their courtroom. They say they see enough of them as defendants and thats enough.
