How can all the Law Enforcement get a 7% raise and we are not a part if the raise? Oh yea, we are not defined as LEO's by FDLE. Once again, you can say anything you want. Until our job definition is changed, we are no more than Social Workers. One, make carry mandatory. Two, have a Psy done on everyone. If we do not act like LEO's, how will people think of us at FDOC.

Any organization that is primarily minority , non sworn, and female like probation can expect NOTHING. You haven't figured it out yet? Probation is the least respected and therefore least compensated.

Good points. Way too many meetings, discussions, change for change sake, too much useless, redundant paperwork and now they are coming out with Spectrum to replace the worthless ISP. It won't change a thing, but some skirt in Tally is trying to just enhance her resume and boost her fragile ego.

Most vests in our office sit in their boxes in full view of the offenders. Those same people do not carry any equipment issued to them, so again more wasted money and equipment that could be provided to someone else. Complacency lives here!! We have an identity problem. Solve it and professionalize probation so they can truly be called OFFICERS.

time for action
If we stick together as the teachers did in Virginia, we can effect change. Fear keeps people doing the same thing while hoping against hope for a different outcome. We all know that is the definition of insanity. No one is going to help probation officers, not PBA, Julie, the legislators or Rick. We are out here on our own but we are not alone. It is past time for probation officers to take a united stand against this continued injustice.

Hey tard, it was the teachers in West Virginia. And FYI, there pay scale ranks 48th in the U.S. And after they got a 4 percent raise, they still rank 48th in the U.S. Here is the problem, people like you take a stance and you have no idea what you are talking about. Sorta like Kim at one of the Criminal Justice Committee Meetings. When she spoke and said that a in coming PO could not start and live on 39K a year. No PO starts at that amount and she ended up looking really stupid.
