If you haven’t figured it out yet, you are not converting any of us to your line of thinking; that Curry just decided to murder two random fellas for the heck of it.

...and there is only one of you; spelling, syntax and such doesn’t vary much at all...you don’t even have the sense to wait more than a few minutes to change ‘identities’...
To your last point, first. There are at least two posters here who question whether this was a justified use of force or not. My posts are clearly written and ask for evidence to support the justification of the deputy's actions. The other guy, throws bombs which he does not back up with specific evidence.

Now, it alright for the rank and file to give your fellow officer the benefit of the doubt. But, IA and homicide can not afford to do that. Like it or not this is a homicide where a man died at the hands of a LEO. As the standards, in a case like, this do not differ from those involving strictly civilians, then certain facts and conditions have to be established. These conditions and facts are outlined in Florida State Statute.

Now, as to Curry deciding to murder two unknown citizens, at random, I do not find this to be very credible. What I find to be more credible, is that Curry, alone in an alley, saw a man with a rifle walking in the direction of the alley, panicked and opened fire on the two men without warning. Now, physical evidence should be able to lend credence to either the theory that Golden did intentionally point the rifle at Curry in a threatening manner or that Curry overreacted to a situation which does not support his actions. This is pretty much what LEOs do on a daily basis. It is called investigation. But, the whole justification for Curry opening fire on Golden and Ford rests with the validity of Curry's belief that a deadly force attack was imminent is reasonable. And, I think that the investigators are having a hard time proving that to be true. See, while it is nice to simply believe everything that a fellow LEO tells you, there have been a significant number of times when a LEO has lied, either because he was involved in a criminal act, or because he made a mistake or because his perceptions were faulty, at the time. And, as so much of our job relies upon our perceived honesty we have to safeguard that perception.

So, we will wait and see what the agency and the SAO comes up with. Then we will wait and see what the civil cases come up with. And, somewhere in there we will likely learn the truth.

Dude for one you’re a complete loser to waste your time typing these Long posts over and over. Do you really have nothing better to do?!? Seriously find a hobby. And for the last time, no one here owes you any answers to any of your stupid questions. You can get your answers when the results of the investigation is released to the public. Now go hang out with your boyfriend James and cry in the corner while you guys try to come up with the next lies to post.

In the first place, I used the word "murder" in response to a previously poster who used it to describe what Curry did. I have consistently referred to Curry's actions as a homicide, which is exactly what it is. Now, I was a LEO for three decades. What I am trying to do here is to wake LEOs up to the fact that not every OIS is a good shooting. If a LEO uses his or her head, they can get the job done with little violence. It is interesting to see the number of OICs that PCSO deputies get involved in.

Most are justified, but some are not. and a bad shooting can end up with you losing your job, ending up woth a huge civil settlement to pay off and, even possible jail time.

Oh, and may very well be dying of cancer. That could be your future as well. Enjoy it.

So, what lies have I posted? Let us see the list and I'll reply to them. Making categorical statements based upon no facts is pretty stupid.

Actually, as am elected official, both the Sheriff and the SA ARE obligated to give the public answers. And, like it or not, I am a member of the public. Now, as we have a dearth of actual facts and some of those are contradictory. Hopefully actual facts will come out and the contradictions in the statements made by the Sheriff will be explained. In the meantime, I am merely suggesting that the Curry shooting may ot turn out to be a justified used of deadly force. And, that there are things that Curry could have done to avoid being in this position or which would have enhanced the justification for his actions. There are things that LEOs have to be aware of and act accordingly. So, think about Curry;s actions before Golden appeared in the yard with a rifle, what he could have done to get out of a potentially deadly situation, without having to engage the men. And were the actions, that Curry took, justified under state statute and can that be proven?

    Now, be safe out there.

I second this. Let’s stop responding to this buffoon. If he wants answers he can wait until the facts of the investigation are released.

If he has any pertinent info he should go talk to Bernie McCabe. Otherwise there is no point speculating about this case.
