There are certain people who are very smooth at lying. They are cool, calm and collected when they lie and they can lie while smiling because their conscience is not bothered. In their mind, they are “justified” in their lies. They are sociopaths. That’s just the way it is. We all can name 2nd floor names of these sociopaths because we’ve seen them do it in public – over and over. These liars are not “tense” unless they get caught. The 2nd floor needs a good scrubbing.

Either the SSO deputies are lying or Tom Knight is lying. In the end, it’s a “shame game.” Just let the juries (or judges) decide who is lying and who is telling the truth. Exactly how many SSO deputies are suing Knight?

The main reason that there is tension on the 2nd floor is not the lawsuits that have been filed but the underlying reason(s) for those law suits. It all boils down to the powers that be fail to follow their own value statement! We provide the service to the citizens and visitors of this county but the Tom and Kurt show don't provide FAIRNESS and/or RESPECT to us and we all know that those 2 have no INTEGRITY. That mentality flows downhill to the majors, captains etc. The double standards are undermining the scruples that we expect the leaders of this agency to have. Treat your people right , meaning fairly, with respect and maintain integrity. When management fails to do this then the minions feel it and the loyalty is only to the paycheck. We all know the decisions being made are not toward the common good but for the good of the Tom and Kurt show. To those upper echelon a-kissers who want respect, please remember that respect is earned, not given. Let's start thinking that the decisions to be made must be fair and just for all, not just for your friends.

To get respect you have to have respect for others. In the Tom and Kurt show, there is too much disrespect for the rank-and-file and that's why the Tom and Kurt show did not get any respect. There is nothing special about Tom or Kurt, yet they are filled with enough conceit to fill an Olympic size swimming pool. It's disgusting.
