MLK Day
Most big crowd events have been cancelled because of Covid concerns. Recently Santa Parade and Snowfest were cancelled. MLK Parade and the bigger street takeover after that will be here soon. Will St. Pete have the guts to cancel it? We will see.

How dare you suggest that the City of St Creature’s Burg overlooks lawlessness and mayhem when it comes to the Afro-American community. Hahahhahahahahhahahhahahw.

trust me, whether or not they have the actual parade...the night festivities will go on as planned. it's like their job to ensure the entire police department works that night. strap up boys.

Kriseman is calling for a state lockdown. Will he have the guts to call off the MLK parade and associated "festivities"? Will Holloway have the guts to enforce it? The answer is "No!". Let the mayhem begin, enjoy the show and be careful out there.

correct. plan on working that night regardless of wtf the rest of the world is doing. a perfect example of a problem that just has never gone away in this city. police are supposed to assist in improving the quality of life for things like this so that they ARE safe and enjoyable...think the chief and mayor are successful in doing so?

Why would this year be any different? The simians will roll out of bed about 4 PM and start chugging mawk likra and getting high and after dark they will be deleting each other. We are there to watch and laugh at what 5000+ years of evolution has brought them.

MLK Street Takeover
The parade has been quietly cancelled but our agency is canceling days off and staffing the after parade bs as usual. By doing this the city is endorsing the mayhem as well as approving a massive Covid outbreak. Not to mention the usual shootings/murders that go with it. Who cares if they infect or kill eachother as long as Leo’s go home safe. How about double or triple the normal evening shift staffing and respond to priorities only. Who cares if the infectors sit in traffic all day and night. Where do they have to be that matters? Our agency won’t do this and thousands of high and drunk people will mass together to infect and kill eachother,
