I would like to thank the troopers who work in polk county. I know your agency is short-staffed and you can’t possibly get to every crash. Every trooper that i have encountered has been more than willing to help out in any way possible and I appreciate it.

They used to be funded by the number of fatal crashes they worked... I always thought it was funny that we’d get dispatched to S4’s all night because there were no Troopers available... 30 minutes later when a fatal S4 was dispatched, 15 Troopers, 6 Sgts and 3 Lt’s would be 1097 to take the investigation ... all of whom were “tied up” just a little bit ago... lol
