    Reshaping School Police

    Part 1

With all of the emphasis being placed on school safety, specifically within south Florida, as well as throughout the nation, coupled with the current state of affairs of our department, as a result of the gross mismanagement, poor leadership and self promoting at the hands of Muppet and Mini; there is a “Reshaping of School Police” taking effect.

For one, we will now enlist, welcome and depend upon the assistance of our county, city and municipal partners, rather than as we’ve done in the past. The territorial practices of viewing other agencies as a threat, to our jurisdiction, are no longer the norm. We simply do not have the personnel and resources to cover a district the size of ours, without the assistance and support of external partnerships.

Next, the role and prototype of what a school police officer is, as well as the core mission, must be overhauled and modernized to meet the needs of today’s greatest threat, and to better serve our school community.

A school police officer has become a sort of “hybrid” law enforcer and must possess expertise in law enfacement and criminology, as a practitioner. They must also understand mental health, crime reduction and prevention, juvenile justice, and several other related fields, aligned within the educational setting. Sadly, but unmistakably, they must also be somewhat proficient in tactical operations, should they be faced with a critical incident.

Finally, with these sweeping changes, there can be a vacuum of adjustments and needs at leadership, funneling down through the ranks.

This is where we cannot move forward without shaking the agency to its core foundation. The process of ridding our agency of fools like Muppet and Mini is only in its initial stage. While their departure was, without question, necessary; our business on the toilet will not be completed until we wipe and flush, meaning Muppet, Mini, and even some others still taking up space here are completely sent to where they belong.

For example, if the Chief were to examine every rank, he’d find persons, whose fitness for duty and ability to do the work, could easily be called into question.

There’s either gross incompetence, enate laziness, or malcontent insubordination - in some cases all three, within the ranks and assignments of Major, Commander, Lieutenant, Sergeant and Detective.

One or two Majors should, and likely will, be forced out. There is a lack of talent at Commander, where it’s been diluted to the point of two or three of them working in positions well above their head. Lieutenant has always been the a Achilles of the agency, where slugs could hide and slide, make good money and enjoy the protections of the union - look at those there now and those who retired at this rank. Clearly, we’ve hit the bottom of the barrel when you look at the recent promotions to Sergeant. God help us and this is generally when what should be a career ascent through the ranks, is actually a descent for the agency, when we promote embiciles. The position of Detective is an assignment and not a promotion, but over the course of decades, it’s been abused and ruined. The best thing to do at this point is eliminate it.

Whatever you do Chief, here are a few suggestions to consider. Do not keep Major W. Tagle on your staff. You’d be foolish to trust him, plus he has limited skills and abilities. He was barely an average sergeant, at best, and is just a Muppet leftover and beneficiary.
You should also strongly consider not keeping Commander J. Bevilacqua on your staff either. Trust and loyalty are exactly his most redeeming qualiies, and there’s no place within your staff for his toxic and malignant parade of misery that he brings here. Those would be the first round of cuts to be made before looking at maybe one other major and two more commanders to demote. Build your own staff - do not think you will be successful with the old regime. The fact you have a potentially large number of your staff, including lieutenants, preparing to enter the DROP could also be a nightmare for you because they’re retired on duty. Our department needs to be reinvigorated not put on life support. Please Chief, they already are the demise of our department and will oppose (actively and passively) all that we know you can and want to do for us.

While I’ll agree that Bev is a very negative person, he has an expertise that he brings to the table. Problem is, most people don’t like to deal with him because he has a negative attitude. As far as Tagle is concerned, I hear he’s out of here in a month or so which is a shame because he also had a good handle on ID. What I will say to the chief is that the new promotions are well deserved and a boost to the morale of the department. Wrongs are being made right. Competence is a consideration. Being in a clique is not a factor, hard work and dedication is. This is the first time I’ve felt the department is moving forward in the right POSITIVE direction. We are going back to basics! No more silly programs that padded the pockets of unnecessary outside bafoons. No more using our department and officers to create resumes. No more using our money to fund unnecessary trips. No more muppet, mini, armpits and bobble head.

Good post and correct on most parts. Overall, the promotions are good, considering what is here to work with.

Agree that no more Muppet, Mini, Armpit and Bobble Head is the best news, The stupid and useless programs seem to have sunset. The resume building, self-promoting and traveling are over. This entire crew should have never been here.

With regards to Bev, it is not whether the supposed bad (attitude) outweighs the alleged good (skill set) - these are your words, not mine; rather, the question and test for chief is if the good excuses the bad. Well, it never does and, in this case, it may be especially true, because it’s probably an attitudinal issue, meaning it’s likely a deliberate choice, made by him.

They’re a lot of folks around here, just as skilled, perhaps even more, who don’t bring the seeming nasty attitude, arrogance, two-faced, negativity, which apparently is, and has been, his hallmark. Chief should non-reappoint him at best or, demote him back to his previous rank, at worst. He’s an individual in every way so treat him accordingly.

With regards to Willie, this is where you lose some credibility. Having a “handle” on the Investigative Division, again, your words, is like being good at finger-painting. There are a number of people here who can oversee that dysfunctional and toxic unit, and actually do a much better job. It needs to be cleaned out, from top-to-bottom, and side-to-side. It is a cesspool and reflects a culture and environment of having poor leadership for decades, having been allowed to run amuck, unchecked, without guardrails, and to do as it wished, instead of as it was intended.

Willie is a scumbag who manipulated an entire career by growing deep and wide roots in ID. The original Muppet puppet, but his past is about to determine his future. The public records requests and looming media interest is pissing people off. Don’t believe it, just watch.

The chief can’t, and shouldn’t trust him. His attitude sucks. He can barely communicate with any clarity in writing, let alone orally. He should have never been anything more than a sergeant and wasn’t even impressive at that rank.

Edwin, rats belong in the gutter, so now it’s time to act like a chief...non-reappoint him. He does nothing to help you or your staff, only hurt it.

Congrats to all of the newly promoted administrators. Now go forward and do good by all of us, our department and the children we protect.

    What now?

I’m confused, as of today Edwin Lopez is our chief but muppet and Garcia are still portraying themselves as our chief and major in certain law enforcement circles. Will we ever be done with those jerks? Why isn’t anyone addressing this?

I’m sure a letter will be sent out advising he is the Chief and if they have any questions they can call his office. NASSLEO is stuck with the scammers but who cares. Soon they will have to audit their stuff as well. Moffett MPACT crew is working for him over there, that will be someone else’s shit show. He is not a Chief, Dr Hector is not a Major and if they don’t stop this bullshit the Superintendent is going to find out and get pissed. More important things going on right now than Moffett and his lies.

    The Muppet and Mini-me tour!

Both are still out there convincing people they are in command of the agency! I heard Muppet was just in Reno NV at the NASRO Conf being awarded some BS but they called him “Chief” the entire time? Mini just posted on Facebook at some FBI headquarter school safety meeting where his table tent card said “Major Hector Garcia” so what gives? Are they both at NASSLEO in NY this week?

Willie and Bev think by showing up at a promotional ceremony and taking a few pics, that they might be able to ingratiate themselves with Chief. You should hear what people said. Sorry, you burnt your bridges with your backstabbing, sneakiness, stupidity and cliquey careers. Willie, you gotta go now. Bev, you’re not going to be a Major.

Bev’s feelings are probably hurt because Muppet supposedly promised him a Major position. ELO isn’t down with that.
Now, Bev would be better off going back to LT and avoiding non-reappointment.👆🏽
Tagle, you’re a pile of crap and are a goner. 👆🏽
