    Precision Immobilization Technique

It is long overdue and time for the Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD) to adopt the Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT). Face it command staff, criminals will not stop when police lights and sirens command them to do so. Instead they engage in deadly driving maneuvers that place citizens and police officers in mortal danger. Like FHP, MDPD sworn members should be trained in this tactical seizure technique and when reasonably safe to apply it, do so. Open the below FHP link and learn more:

It might be a good idea, but there's no way it'll be approved here.

    are you kidding me?

This department will never approve such tactical maneuvers. They have Mandatory Driver Training due to the fact that most of us can't even leave the parking lot without crashing.

This maneuver is for a department that has hiring standards and looks to maintain a up-to-date police force with professional employees.

Unfortunately, we have turned into a "Job Corps" placement agency. Don't tell me different; I work with more than one PO that got this job through Job Corp.
