Re: Investigative story tips?
I'm certainly not Mike Scott - and I think you can figure out which 'investigative reporter' is the one to contact. If not, just contact the one you like the best....hopefully that person will look into the issue. I know I am open to looking into anything that is legitimate.

Admin is probing the waters again. Remember that MS and the Newspress made a truce agreement back in Nov. So I doubt that Whitewolf is working on behalf of the Newspress. The Naples Daily News is where MS prints information that he doesn't want Lee County to know about and they have in the past endorsed him for Sheriff. Don't fall victim to this thread brothers and sisters.

Just as the President of Edison State College will soon fall so will MS once all of his indiscretions are revealed. What is done in the dark will eventually come to light. Everyone will know just how fake MS really is.

Trust is earned, not granted. If you are going to come in here and ask these boys to cross the thin blue line, then show them some integrity.

Re: Investigative story tips?
Here is a tip for you: why don't you check the number of deputies on road patrol for 2011 vs 2008 or further back. MS ran on the campaign that he would put "boots on the street." I can tell you several district that have dropped maybe 10 deputies. There is an ever increasing shortage of deputies on the street answering your alarms, burglaries, etc. Let's see what you do with that and we'll go from there. This is an easy one! AND NO I DONT WANT BUSHONG!

Re: Investigative story tips?
How about this? This administration reportedly has knowledge that as many as 10 percent of his staff are receiving federal aid through food stamps. The number could be higher. The number that are eligible is much likely higher. This administration has done nothing to bring wages in line with what every other cop around here is getting paid. Allegedly, the adminstration was given the opportunity to provide a modest raise after the state ruduced all FRS contributor's income by three percent but they declined because it was an election year. Don't know if it is true.
Now ask yourself this. Do you think you are getting good service from a deputy that has to worry about feeding his or her family? How about morale? Are there any other agencies that pay their deputies so little that they are eligible for food stamps? This adminstrtaion is on the record that it will not go to Tallahassee to fight for even a modest raise.
That would be a good story.

Re: Investigative story tips?
At least the command staff, and directors all got their IPads during this tough time. I can't imagine what life would have been like only relying on their laptops, desktops, black-berrys, and their $75,000+ a year secretaries. I mean, nothing would be getting done right now...
Theirs a story for your whitewofe, 20 IPads purchased with monthly service for the already highest paid staffers at the LCSO..
