"Most people whom we elect to Congress are either ignorant of, have contempt for or are just plain stupid about the United States Constitution. ... Here, in part, is the oath of office that each congressman takes: 'I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same....' Here's my question to you: If one takes an oath to uphold and defend, and bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution, at the minimum, shouldn't he know what he's supposed to uphold, defend and be faithful to? If congressmen, judges, the president and other government officials were merely ignorant of our Constitution, there'd be hope -- ignorance is curable through education. These people in Washington see themselves as our betters and rulers. They have contempt for the limits our Constitution places on the federal government envisioned by James Madison, the father of our Constitution, who explained in the Federalist Paper 45: 'The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite. The former will be exercised principally on external objects, as war, peace, negotiation, and foreign commerce. ... The powers reserved to the several States will extend to all the objects which in the ordinary course of affairs, concern the lives and liberties, and properties of the people, and the internal order, improvement and prosperity of the State.'" --economist Walter E. Williams

If we were so hell bent on electing a black man as president, why couldn't it have been this one? I hope the democrats take a shellacking at tomorrow's election and we send those bastar.ds packing. RINO republicans also.

Tuesday night was good. It could have been better if the voters had thrown out another 50 or more bums. Charlie must be pretty sad today. Come Jan. 20th he won't have a job unless Osama Obama makes him some kind of czar. Maybe Director of ABT? :snicker:

I took a comp day Nov. 2nd and decided to spend most of the day wandering through the swamp. That would be the same swamp that Nancy Pelosi said she was going to drain. I spent nearly 6-hours wandering through the swamp and I saw nary no democrats. What I did see late that evening when I returned home and turned on the news was a swamp draining of epic proportions but being orchestrated by the voters, not Nancy Pelosi and how sweet was that ass whupping that ole Charlie got? Now, he and Arlin Specter can hang out together. Wonder who our next director is gonna be? Could it be one of the retirees of recent years? Some of you better "get to work" as someone on another thread said recently. :snicker:

No chance..because we, the recent retirees, see the writing on the wall! We had our job when ABT was a good place to work.

Ever see the movie "Pulp Fiction?" The new director will be the same type of person portrayed by Bobby D in his role as "The Cleaner." A very knowledgeable and personable individual with one task to complete. Turn off the lights when you leave. Now that I think about it, HCA had many "Cleaners." It's nothing personal, it's just business.
