Defense

Doesn't it seem like our department is always on the defense? Why is it that the chief never shows her face unless she is trying to cover her ass. Step up to the plate and be a leader or step down and make room for one! :evil:

I wonder why she does not give a weekly state of the city press conference. She shares the same problem that Jerry Brown has, out of sight equals out of mind (maybe that is why Jerry Brown is going bye bye). If she would just stand up and support her Officers in public that would go a long way. I think that she is a weak minded puppet that knows it and so she hides on 5 to avoid being embarassed. What she should do is pick a fight with the DA (challenge her to a grudge match at the Hells Angels boxing club on 3rd) to show the boys and men that she has a set. Or better yet bust one of the City Hall crew at a massage parlor. But that is too much like the good old days.

The "Good 'ol days" are long gone. The SFPD is under the powers of the politicians and the politicians are running scared. They can't brush their own teeth without first checking with the OCC, MCD, Commissions, Business leaders and the Far left. God forbid they lose a vote for doing the right thing! This city is the fricking laughing stock of America and the Chief and the Mayor are the clowns leading the show. Let the police officers do their job and stop pretending to understand our job. You don't get it Chief and you never will! You have to spend just a little bit of time on the street to fully understand what it is like out there. Monday morning quaterbacking will only anger the rank and file and it is the rank and file who will decide whether or not to keep the streets safe. Be careful Mr Newsom, you are a child in Mayors clothing and don't think we don't recognize this fact. You are nothing more than a spoiled brat from Marin county and your tongue is oxidized from the spoon that you were fed from. God willing you will only be a one term-er and then we can get back to the business at hand. No, the "good 'ol days" are gone forever but the brave-in-blue can survive even the toughest of storms. We are the one's who will decide!
