    Perp Walk Bob

So if a deputy gets arrested for hitting an inmate, perp walk. If a deputy gets arrested for domestic violence, no perp walk, no press release, no news conference.

Bob cares more about inmates than domestic violence victims. How screwed up is that?

Bob is trying to look like he holds people accountable. I remember years ago two road sergeants taking down the wrong people and kicking them when they were handcuffed and laying face down. And how many times should have howie sk been arrested. Bob hates detention

This is standard operating procedure for the current administration. If you think Bob will cut anyone a break or air on the side of the deputy or Sgt you are sadly mistaken. If you’re able to retire I suggest you do it as quickly as possible. One mistake will cost you your freedom and without hesitation you will be arrested, suspended or fired. This also depends on your current rank and standing in the department according to Bob. Others get voluntarily demoted or allowed to retire and for go any formal IA investigation. It is subjective punishment and apparently applies to certain members.

If he was dating the inmate he’d have been fine. You can handcuff and batter your girlfriend and only get a few days off.

Car1 hates the jailers because he was one for a year and could not cut the mustard.

When a jailer sergeant and lieutenant check a use of force video and they think it was excessive it goes to the captain and major. They don't want to make a decision because they are spineless so it goes to IAD, who then checks with Training. Then they send a finding to Car1 who tells the ARB what punishment to issue. Then Car1 sends the case to the SA to check if a crime has been committed. The whole system is designed to push the liability on the jail floor staff with the COC afraid to make a decision and protecting their own skins. If you have an iffy use of force odds are you will get fired and possibly even prosecuted. Or God forbid you humiliate trustys by making them do push ups when they fail to do their jobs, even if your COC told you to do it. They will deny it to IAD and sell you out.

Under Coleman and Rice the jail handled these uses of force in house. They never got past the shift commander or the captain. The COC backed up the floor deputies, corporals and sergeants. If it wasn't written down it did not happen, period. The inmates knew it and did not attack floor staff in those days because they knew retaliation would follow. Floor staff did not go to the hospitals in those days like they do nowadays.

Yes you should submit to the inmates request even if they’re argumentative and disobeying a lawful order. Call the mental health unit they will respond to help you with your endeavors. Remember big brother is always watching and we must be held accountable for any action that appears to have the hint of impropriety. Just look at it this way we are all one bad decision away from losing our freedom. So I guess the solution is allow the inmates to carry-on their criminal behavior and or quit.

no doubt he treats jail deputies differently than road deputies. he knows what happens on the street, and it's a lot worse than what the sgt. did....way worse.

    political career move. not good.

Let’s wait for the trial and the termination appeal. I’m calling BS. Just because someone is handcuffed doesn’t mean they aren’t a threat. I’d like to put Fat George or the Arrogant Colonel in a cell with an agitated inmate in cuffs and see just how safe it is. The jail doesn’t house campers, they’re criminals and convicts. Heaven forbid someone get rough. And they wonder why people on the road don’t want to use force. Hmmm. I wonder.
