No dumb dumb. FHP makes millions off Lee County for little service. A professional police planner and smart steward of taxpayer dollars would request FHP to work crashes and incidents on Florida state roads and not create a huge traffic unit to cover FHP's deficiency. Your insults only make the sheriff look smarter

Have you ever watched FHP do a crash investigation or been involved in a serious crash investigation that FHP was lead on? It’s an absolute joke. Better yet go watch them in court and try to testify. It’s an embarrassment to all law enforcement. The sheriff allowing them to work crashes in “his “ county is a disservice to the residents of Lee County. That alone does not make the sheriff look smarter, in fact it makes him look dumber( if that is at all possible).

That's a good point. NOT. The sheriff is a wise police planner and steward of taxpayer dollars. Why does North Florida and the East Coast have more coverage from FHP while the sheriffs have more deputy coverage to serve the citizens? Because the sheriffs hold FHP accountable and demand they do what the state constitution and taxpayer dollars pay for.

Wait until your in a crash on duty and it’s your fault and FHP works it. It’s in their policy to issue a citation to the at fault driver and they will not give two shits that your a cop. You expect our agency to help you or protect you in court, good luck. But that’s fine keep sucking the sheriffs lollipop and drive this agency to the ground. There use to be a time that the sheriffs office traffic unit was a 30 man unit and the citizen of this county felt protected on the roadways because enforcement was being conducted.
