    Lee County Commander Mark Shelly

To the Deputy that arrested Commander Shelly for DUI, thank you. This has been a long time issue with him, however the Sheriff put him back to work already only after one day on administration leave. CARMINE has lost all respect with this agency. But we as deputies wanted to thank you for doing your job and taking a drunk off the road.

Fl. law requires his license be suspended for 1 year. Did this happen?
The first time you refuse a breathalyzer test, you’ll immediately have your driver license suspended for one year. This will happen regardless of whether you are convicted of DUI or any other criminal offense.

His IA was closed, the IA commander was transferred. He was never given an admin blow, which was ordered to be stopped. Basically he is scott free. He was a probationary commander due to the new promotion. No punishment. Now they are playing a medical excuse. Do us a favor, get Marceno and Holloway next. Stay safe.
