    New contract

    What’s the deal with this new contract we’re all hearing about? Starting? Top out? You may just get a lot of applicants from across the river If this is true

    The new starting pay for an officer is $55,016 and the top out pay is $84,011 at 10 years.

    The new starting pay for a sergeant is $82,659 and the new top out pay is $104,000 at 5 years.

    The new starting pay for a Lt is $98,384 and the top out pay is $117,064 at 5 years.

    Man that combined with making them detectives and Sgt’s is really going to motivate patrol and especially FTOs.

    I have to agree. Giving patrol a "patrol pay" would help with morale. Even a longevity on patrol pay. You wanna do 10 years on patrol you pay goes up more than a detective or SRO who begged to get off the road.
