    No way

From a one officer to another, please do not apply to work here., they will ruin your career. All the horror stories are 99% true, it’s the bottom of the barrel in South Florida law enforcement.

If you are a bad cop you get in trouble. If you are a good cop you don’t. Nobody gets fired here unless they do something that would get them fired anywhere else.

The PD, including the Chief and admin, answer to the tribe. Not to FDLE or the State. So if you jam up an "indian" who has even the slightest connection to the Tribal Council (they all do), they will piss & moan to their buddies/relatives and the tribe will come up with bogus IA's, and false claims and they will blacken your record so badly before firing you, that no agency will ever look at you again. This shitty agency needs to be completely separated from the tribe and governed by the State and FDLE...but the "tribe" will never let that happen. If you're a **** up from another agency who can't get hired, then put in an app if you have no shot anywhere else. But fair warning...if you get hired, DO NOT be proactive and do everything in your power to keep tribal members out of handcuffs or you'll find yourself fired. Either sit on 75 and tag folks for speeding, or go find a tree and sit in the shade all day earning a paycheck.

Ok, so don’t be proactive. How is morale and how are people, team players?
I’m sure some of you guys are happy there, or correct me if I’m wrong.

Happiness and Morale are all terms of perspective. There are some people who love it here. There are some that leave after a few years. You are encouraged to do your job at this department and as long as you do it with respect, you’ll be fine.
