Traffic Enforcement in Davie: is there any on a consistent basis?
It appears that the only constant traffic enforcement we observe in Davie is when the motor unit is working. They are always responsive to citizen complaints but they appear to be the only unit engaged in traffic enforcement and there isn't enough of them. Is there an unwritten directive that uniform personnel will not write citations due to shortages, or do they just not care enough to do so with few exceptions? What is the average number of citations per month that uniform personnel write? Aggressive driving, speeding, etc. is out of control in our city!

So move to the Villages. There are plenty of clowns there writing citations on the golf carts that ought to keep you happy.
You must be a frustrated wannabe

A Wannabe No: a Concerned Citizen yes!
Again a childish response from probably a disgruntled slug who does nothing and will never mount to anything. Instead of uttering continuous platitudes, perhaps you could respond in an intelligent and salient manner next time. This writer asked a legitimate question for which you obviously don't have a clue of an answer. If one really researched any response to this writer's questions, you would realize that it can be obtained with a Public Records Request. Of course the slugs would look bad! Good try! And oh, get your dictionary out; you certainly need it to supplement your GED.

If you don't like it, complain to your local elected officials that you want them to hire more cops. Unfortunately, since you are truly too blind to see the bigger picture: Davie is a growing city with a growing population with a growing number of calls-for-service. Add our very slow hiring process and we don't have enough officers to properly patrol your area. That's the sole function of a motor unit: investigate traffic complaints and investigate crashes. Move to Golden Beach where the officers do nothing but run traffic and set up speed traps. Idiot.

Another Inane Response!
First it was the Villages and now Golden Beach; you really know your geography or is that where you want to be a PSA or officer? So now only the motor unit can write citations? Is that the chief's and manager's philosophy? Yes we need more officers but officers who care about all aspects of keeping the Town of Davie safe and that includes traffic enforcement. If you really work here, take your blinders off. No one is safe from the crazies on our roadways unless you are one of them.

Citizen activist, try taking Geritol to improve your health. It might help your disposition. I'm sure you will be here complaining again about traffic enforcement as soon as you are handed citations. This place is not going to help you.

Enforcement of Traffic Laws: It's everyone's Job
A simple question regarding traffic enforcement has evolved into a diatribe regarding where someone should live and name calling. Not quite the response expected from a professional. The problem with this web site is that there is no way to verify if the writer is really a police officer or has anything to do with law enforcement especially in the Town of Davie. It appears that if this person is truly a LEO then they really don't want to do all aspects of their job. Any research on this issue documents that part of the job description for a uniformed officer is to conduct traffic enforcement and investigate crashes, something this person cannot comprehend. There are only a few motors, less than 10, in Davie compared to a greater number of uniform patrol officers. Stop smiling and waving at traffic violators as they speed by and do your job. Perhaps a Stress Management Course would help your disposition.

Dear George Zimmerman 2.0, if you actually knew anything about how the system works, you would not be trolling an Internet forum that is for actual law enforcement officers.

Once you graduate, you will likely have better communication skills.

The Truth Hurts! Is this the best you can do?
Now George Zimmerman, a thug who belongs in jail. You are really getting desperate. Have you even taken a course on public policy or any course above a GED level? Grammatical errors; point some out professor. You would lose big time in a one on one debate but of course it is obvious you are already lost. By the way how many subordinates do you supervise?
