The FDLE Special Agent Supervisor that was diddling kids is finally goes to trial. Another proud FDLE moment.

Was it ignored that no other regions would work with Chuck because of how shady he operated? Was that swept under the rug? This was common knowledge among other task forces in other regions.. certainly FDLE knew.

Former FDLE investigator on trial for allegedly molesting children

SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. (WEAR) —

A former Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) agent accused of molesting four children is now on trial in Santa Rosa County.

Charles "Chuck" McMullen was arrested in November 2016. He faces one count of sexual battery of a child under 12, seven counts of lewd and lascivious molestation on a child under 12, and one count of promoting the sexual performance of a child.

McMullen was a supervisor for FDLE whose job was investigating sex crimes. He now stands accused of molesting children at his home.

The state said a dispute between McMullen's wife and the mother of one child began uncovering the abuse.

A child welfare case manager testified what one child said about McMullen allegedly touching him.

"He touches it a lot when we cuddle and then he said he also touches another child's," quoted Child Welfare Case Manager Tarsha Moore. "At the time, I got stressed out because I didn't expect this at all."

An interview with a second child produced more allegations against McMullen. After word of his arrest was made public, two more alleged victims came forward.

The state said the boys have no reason to lie, but the defense said the stories are inconsistent and two of the boys come from troubled background.

A Santa Rosa Kid's House victim's advocate said she found nothing out of the ordinary when visiting McMullen's home.

The trial, which began Monday, could last a week.
