    "low-cost deputies"? Is that what is really important when it comes to the safety of children in Sarasota County? If you want low cost goto Walmart, if you want to fund legitimate personnel to protect kids, cut the SSO budget which has become extremely bloated, reduce the number of Lieutenant's, Captain's and Major's.. many of them really do little actual work, and have only attained their rank as favors, sell the $60,000 drone Walsh bought, forget about the ridiculous idea of funding a second helicopter. Maybe hire more pilots. Besides the majority of the time the chopper is on the ground and the pilot and observer are getting paid to sit in the hangar and play video games.
