Chitwood and Illegal immigration

I just finished reading the Op-Ed piece by our elected Sheriff in the News Journal concerning his feelings on illegal immigration.

There are so many statistics and reports concerning the issue of illegal immigrants and their propensity to commit crimes it simply boggles the mind. Forget for a moment that they (illegal immigrants) have already broken at least one law by being in the country illegally.

From this article I found the following to be quite shocking:
Florida incarcerated 12,684 inmates for murder and manslaughter offenses in 2008–2009. Approximately 480 were illegal aliens.

Sheriff Chitwood...you are breaking the trust with the citizens of Volusia County. It is obvious you have never been in the military and deployed overseas (there you learn that you OBEY all the laws and you do not get to pick and choose which laws you want to obey).

This view of yours is really similar to Aramis Ayala (the State Attorney for the 9th Circuit in Florida). She did not make it known that she would NOT seek the death penalty for any case. It is no wonder you kept your views on ILLEGAL immigration a secret during the election. That is what politicians do. A law enforcement officer enforces the law. A politician curries favors with voters.

I guess Florida has over 6 BILLION dollars a year to spend on ILLEGAL immigrants every year. What a joke.

I wonder if Chitty keeps up with the news about illegal immigrants committing murders and issues with sanctuary cities. Here is another murder committed by one of the individuals (ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT) that he has such concerns about. Hey Chitty....these illegal immigrants are costing the state of Florida billions in dollars every year and commit crimes.
