I wonder if this is what prompted JH and/or the city manager to post the deputy chief position AGAIN. Did JH need a deputy chief to dump his duties on if DeLand had hired him? Either way, it's nice to know that the chief is having meetings with BD and leading him to believe the decision has already been made, that he'll be deputy chief.

For the city's sake and the morale of the force, I pray BD is not the selection for Deputy Chief! JH is a short timer. We need a real respectable leader.
