Why don't they merge Brooksville Police Department into Hernando Sheriff? I look at the zone map for HCSO and the nonsense that is carved out for Brooksville PD's jurisdiction makes no damn sense.

Inverness police was absorbed by Citrus Sheriff years ago. What is the point of having a PD for Brooksville? For christ sake, Brooksville PD doesn't have have a forum on here. That's how irrelevant it is.

The citizens of the City of Brooksville pay for the PD. They will never give them up. It's not in the county's hands. It's the same with Brooksville Fire.
