    Thoughts?

Policing has changed even for the 10 years I've been employed as a Leo. I get stuff changes due to time, however, these days it's been changing drastically. As someone who was once a go getter, I now find myself just taking calls and getting by flying under the radar for a few reasons: 1. Society is against cops 2. Media has sided with that portion of society 3. Agencies have not backed Leo's as they did before due to media scrutiny. I find myself trying not to be a liability rather than putting myself in risky situations. Every complaint against Leo's are heavily scrutinized more than ever. What do you guys think? Are you experiencing this within your agency, districts, etc?

You are a wise man. Now is not the time to aggressively go out and do your job thinking that even good faith, working mistakes will go your way. There has always been generational changes but what is going now is racially politically motived. Until this President leaves, the heavy handed arm of the justice dept and all of the activist anti cop groups that have been emboldened will only continue. Even if your right, the officer in Ferguson has been completely destroyed and left out to dry and I'm sure his life to this day is in danger. Ran into a retiree the other day and he really said something to me that stuck. He said that out of the thousands of decisions you make, your only as good as your last decision. He also said that no one gives a flying fuk about how many tickets you write, people you put in jail, cases you solve, this is a 24/7 profession and if you leave tomorrow, someone else will take your place and this job will go on.

I hope you can help (sorry in advance)

I am new to this forum and decided to become a part of this community since I hope to be in the field. I am a graduate student finishing up my masters in Criminal Justice with a Specialization in Legal Studies. I have a huge research paper coming up and do not have enough data. I was hoping some of you could help by completing my survey. I have attached a preview of the survey so you know what type of questions will be asked when you take the survey.

The purpose of this survey is to gather information regarding Corrections Issues and Trends from criminal justice professionals working in correctional facilities. With the collected data, I will compare textbook theory with current best practices for my research project paper. Please answer the confidential questions as honestly as possible. Thank you! I can email you the word and/or PDF file or you can take the quiz through surveymonkey. Thank you for helping a student!

Look where the college boy posted his message, mister supervisor. Interrupted a good thread from a honest Deputy. No,
You're a asshole. And you act like this is your lil' place on the internet alone.
