    Wow, it says Washington State troopers are leaving since the pay isn't competitive, at 54,000 a year starting!!!

    Hmmm

    Let those fools try to get by on a less than 40K ending salary at retirement. I see they are following Florida's lead considering accepting criminal applicants. Just what they need more criminals as police officers. The mentality is "But we can pay them way less" I'm surprised recruitment isn't hanging out at Parole Offices and Prisons.
