    It's about making decisions and having a broader knowledge to help you in making them. In your case Requishia, the thought would be lost.

    You can do the job with a GED if you are mature and responsible among other things. More education helps with some of the critical thinking skills and teaches you to look at things in different perspectives. It also teaches more critical thinking skills which some people may lack.

    agree 100% must have commos street sense for this job... but helps when you leave police work and work on that second or third retirement job.

    Seems no one is happy working at APD .... cops unhappy with the way things are run.
    Cutting positions that help detectives... to hire more cops.....everyone thinks they can be chief..it's a mix of both education and street smarts not just anyone can do it.
