Things at DIF will never change. I gave them 4 pages of problems and solutions and it was swept under the carpet. A better more efficient way to do many things including cases without so much paper flow.. what a waste.. a suggestion to work real cases and not just stats.. well I too left because of the known politics and supervisors without any balls..
I was actually told that things will not change at DIF because it is so political and they don't want supervisors who do things differently, more efficient, and could save thousands in costs.. they want those who will stay in place and beat to only their drum..
Good luck guys and gals..
DIF has the ability to be the best in the country with the proper leadership.. because they sure have some experienced guys and gals who wanted to work..

This place will always have high turnover and continue to be a revolving door. When the good and honest detectives realize how dirty this place is and how they are treated, they leave.
Characteristics of good leaders: honest, no agendas, fair treatment of employees, don't look to set up and back stab employees, don't push for bad arrests, not statistic driven, stand up for their employees, working good cases, leave employees alone to do their work, etc.
Characteristics of DIF upper management: statistics driven, dishonest, personal agendas, unfair treatment of employees, set up and back stab employees, push for bad arrests, promote friends, hire relatives, create hostile working environment, constant harassment of employees, seek revenge when employees stand up for themselves, fabricate cases for statistics, micromanage, etc.
