    Why Waste You Time

Why anybody would actually want to be a law enforcement officer anymore in this country is beyond me. If I was them I would not go out of my way to do one extra thing for that community in Ferguson, or at this point anywhere in this screwed up country we now live in. The criminals have all the rights now and the cops are left being seen as nearly always guilty and must now PROVE that they are innocent. Isn't it supposed to be the other way around. Now Eric Holder has opened up a totally new investigation trying in vain to dig up any Civil Rights Violation Case he and his biased legal staff can find. It was also mentioned that the investigation is not limited to just Ferguson, but all the St Louis area police agencies. For those that recall, this same crack legal team that Holder put together, are the same ones that got caught outright lying under oath to a Federal Judge in New Orleans, after they used denied using the internet to make false posts about the investigation they were working and then denied it under oath. Somebody please tell me why these individuals with obvious biased anti-police backgrounds, who eventually admitted to lying under oath during the New Orleans case, are STILL actively employed for the DOJ?

The moment a cop gets caught lying under oath his or her career is OVER and I have no problem with that. Yet here we have multiple DOJ legal investigators still employed by the DOJ and even worse off, still assigned to investigate alleged police civil rights violations? Any decent defense attorney is going to break it off in their rearends the moment they get on any witness stand. Also, doesn't anybody find it quite troubling that the DOJ under a racially biased and outright liberal Eric Holder has not done one thing to investigate the IRS targeting American Citizens who were part of certain Republican Organizations? I guess Holder was right when he called out to a certain race of American Citizens and called them all COWARDS when it came to race! Yea, I'm sure he will be real fair and unbiased toward the white police officer.

Again, anyone that even considers thinking of becoming a police officer in this country right now is nuts. I say let the thugs have free reign and see how long it lasts before all the police haters in this country become a victim of violent crimes like, murder, massive looting, home invasions, robbery and the list goes on and on. I honestly was pro Obama and thought he might actually do some good as President, but he has been a complete disaster, both domestically and internationally. We now have wars breaking out all over the globe because the world now sees first hand just how weak of a leader he is. His appointment of Eric Holder, his buddy, has also been a complete disaster and this country will take decades to recover from all the damage these two have done in just six years. How we will survive two more years I really don't know. Obama cares about one thing, HIMSELF, along with playing golf and high fiving his buddies while terrorists are beheading our citizens and planning on God knows how many terrorists attacks inside the United States. Any rational person with a "SMIDGEN" of common sense would be sending all these DOJ agents to track down these stateside terrorists before the BIG ONE happens, and it's not "if" but just a matter of "When".

Sorry former officer Page but I'm Taig Irish not a heartless bigoted Proddy such as yourself.

I can say when I retire in less then nine months that I did not turn the profession of law enforcement into nothing more then a paid band of mindless vigilantes.
You would have fit in just fine with the 1 Para that pulled the trigger in Bogside Sunday evening. Must go now have much more actual facts to place here to inform people.

I'm counting the days when I can get my six figure DROP check and languish in relaxation knowing I was what a law enforcement officer was really supposed to be.

You on the other hand will be making the rounds at the tinfoil hat wearers meetings spouting your hate and anger that you generated over the years.

With any luck you will fall into rank of the other "I got no respect as a cop" group. With in seven years you will either have a stroke, heart attack, drink yourself to death our swallow your old off duty gun.

If you have any care left for the public you treated like crap, you would spare them and me any more of your hate filled anger and immediately apply the latter of the four above mentioned.

Have a real great day disgraced Officer Krupke (ret.)

Personally I have to agree with the former poster who called you out for what acting like a scumbag on here. No current police officer would wish for a fellow brother officer to die or have a stroke like you just did in your above post. You have got to be one mentally disturbed person and if indeed you still are a current police officer, you are a disgrace to all the fine men & women that wear or have worn the police uniform with pride and distinction. You need help brother, honestly you do and I pray you find it. Despite how I might feel about you right now in regards to your post, if you wear the uniform you are still family to me, so please be safe and watch your six brother.

Couple Attacked and Severely Beaten in Springfield, Mo

Did you all just see the video of the young Caucasian couple that were brutally attacked and severely beaten by a group of about 5 or 6 African American Males in Springfield, Missouri yesterday? It certainly looked like a 'Hate Crime' to me based upon what the news said about the nearby witnesses hearing the males calling the Caucasian couple all kinds of racial slurs as they were being brutally attacked. Apparently the female sustained a fractured ankle, cheekbone and possible nose and the male sustained multiple cuts & bruises. Hmm, I wonder if Eric Holder will divert some of his already nearby agents on this case, since it involves a possible aggravated hate crime and a clear video.

No, Eric Holder is too busy (not) investigating the 9/26/14 savage beatings (attempted murder?) of a 2 white servicemen, a U.S. Marine and Iraq War veteran and his friend, an Air Force veteran of the Afghanistan war outside of a Huddle House (Waffle House?) in West Point, Mississippi, following some sort of altercation with a group of about 20 black men who had “gotten themselves into a frenzy” over the Ferguson shooting.

    http://topconservativenews.com/2014/...be-brain-dead/

Media has been lying about condition of West Point victim. He may be brain dead

We told that the black police chief insulted the victims and downplayed the crime. We told you how CBS Atlanta ran a hoax segment falsely portraying the attackers as a mixed race group. Now, the family of the victim says everyone is lying about his condition. The media has universally been lying when they claim he is in “fair condition.” Or when police chief Tim Brinkly insulting characterized his injuries as “got hurt.”

The US Marine that was brutally beaten solely, because of the color of his skin, may be forced to live out his days in a vegetative state. This according to his stepson Barry Reynolds.

    http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2014...ere-switched/#

    My favorite part:

"This does not appear to be a hate crime," West Point Police Chief Tim Brinkley said in a press release, according to the Clarion-Ledger. "It's very early in this investigation but thus far the evidence and statements suggest that a verbal altercation turned physical and somebody got hurt."
    http://www.clarionledger.com/story/n...ites/14575453/

Family members say a West Point man is in a Tupelo hospital after he and another man were attacked in a Huddle House parking lot by up to 20 people.

Ralph Weems, a 32-year-old Marine and Iraq war veteran, is in fair condition today according to officials at North Mississippi Medical Center.

Monday evening, police arrested 22-year-old Courtez McMillian of Okolona. He is being held in the Clay County Detention Center and will be charged with aggravated assault.

Brinkley said other arrests are also pending, and that most, if not all of the assailants appear to come from Monroe County. Detectives are reviewing video footage of the incident.

The Associated Press reports that Weems went to a Waffle House early Saturday. His friend David Knighten, an Air Force veteran of the Afghanistan war who was with him, told reporters that a man told him politely outside the restaurant that it wasn't a safe place for whites, because people were upset by the killing of 18-year-old Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri.
Knighten said when he entered the restaurant, Weems was arguing with some people inside. The argument brought police, and Knighten and Weems left. On their way to Weems' house, they stopped at a Huddle House with an empty parking lot, according to the Associated Press.

The pair was followed to Huddle House by what Knighten said was around 20 people. Witnesses told police that the group was made up of black men, but couldn't identify any of them. One witness did provide a vehicle description and police said they are working on identifying the owner.

Knighten told reporters he was trying to diffuse the situation. When a security guard told everyone to leave, Knighten said he was blocked from getting to Weems, who was on the ground being kicked by a group of people. Knighten said others then attacked him.
"I do remember racial slurs being yelled from the crowd," he told the Associated Press.

Knighten couldn't be reached for comment so far on Monday, but he posted on Facebook Saturday.
"All my injuries were minor fractures and lacerations. I just wish I could have reached him sooner. Please keep your thoughts and prayers on Ralph," he wrote.
Brinkley, who could not be reached for comment Monday, said in the release that the attack right now is an aggravated assault investigation, and that the cause is not yet determined.

"This does not appear to be a hate crime," he said. "It's very early in this investigation but thus far the evidence and statements suggest that a verbal altercation turned physical and somebody got hurt."
Investigators are reviewing surveillance video and putting together a list of suspects. Brinkley encouraged those involved with come forward voluntarily before arrest warrants are issued.
Police said it is not theirs to charge a hate crime if the situation does turn out to be racially motivated, but that the District Attorney's office and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation have been briefed.

"It's up to the Grand Jury to make this determination. All we do is process the evidence and turn the case over to the District Attorney who in turn presents it to the Grand Jury. It's within their discretion to add the hate crime enhancement," Brinkley said.
------wow, by the book. No racial bias here!
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 530-7151 or the West Point Police Department at (662) 494-1244.

“Not all cops are bad.” If you’re a liberal critic of the Missouri police’s massive overreaction to the protests in Ferguson, Missouri, it’s likely you’ve heard this familiar refrain in recent weeks. The tragic shooting of Michael Brown by Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson has brought police overreach, abuse and creeping militarization to the forefront of our national political conversation. But defenders of police have also come out in support of those who form the “thin blue line” that ostensibly separates us from all the ugliness, cruelty and lawlessness in the world.

So not all cops are bad — sure. But there are a number of good reasons why we shouldn’t support their actions reflexively — or rush to their side when one of them does something truly awful.

These are not your parents’ cops

As numerous commentators have already noted, American police have undergone a massive transformation in recent decades. Militarized police departments are on the rise, with no sign of this trend slowing any time soon. It started with the war on drugs in the ’80s, followed by the now-famous “1033 Program,” a federal program that allows the military to sell discount weapons, supplies and munitions to local police departments, capped off finally by a massive infusion of new resources following the Sept. 11 attacks. (And while the 1033 program has earned the bulk of the attention, it’s important to note that it’s “only” provided local cops with $4.3 billion in new supplies, a number dwarfed by the $34 billion the Department of Homeland Security has provided since 9/11.)

There are plenty of great explainers that you can read about how all of this came to be; the Intercept’s Glenn Greenwald recently provided a useful summary, as did Amanda Taub for Vox. But even if these accounts do nothing to change your perception of the police today, one must ask: Where does it end? At what point do cops become so weaponized, so hostile to their citizenry and shielded from responsibility or blame that our suspicions of the institution gain merit? And crucially — who gets to decide?

“Not All Cops Are Bad” is a meaningless concept when taken to its logical conclusion

There are clearly limits to the formulation that “not all cops are bad,” and almost everyone would agree that individual “goodness” can become irrelevant when an individual’s actions are in service of a corrupt institution. That American police forces aren’t nearly as amoral as, say, the Gestapo (the secret police of Nazi Germany) is a question of degree, not one of kind. Once we allow that “Not all cops are bad” can’t possibly apply to the Gestapo in any meaningful way, we tacitly acknowledge that there are limits to the formulation more generally. (If comparing American cops to the Gestapo seems hyperbolic, that’s the point.) Whether or not those limits have already been reached by U.S. police departments is irrelevant here. After all, some might find the abuses highlighted by the press in recent years to be not especially extreme or unacceptable given the difficulty of the profession and the enormous challenge of making snap judgments regarding lethal force … but surely, plenty of residents of Ferguson would disagree. Saying “not all cops are bad,” then, becomes dangerously close to saying “people like me get to determine when the conduct of police officers has become bad enough to merit our attention and concern, but people like you don’t.”

The people saying “not all cops are bad” usually aren’t the ones being victimized by “good cops”

Recently, 125 people came together in Missouri to support Darren Wilson. One hundred and twenty-four of them were white.

    It’s “**** the Police,” not “**** a Police”

I would hazard to guess that many liberals who’ve written critically of police in the last few weeks have themselves enjoyed good experiences with cops in their own lives. The majority of prominent liberal writers, after all, are white men from middle-class backgrounds. These are not typically the people treated most brutally or arbitrarily. (And I am no exception: My experiences with cops have been especially positive.) Supporters of police might wish that we’d use those experiences to defend cops from critics, but it’s near impossible when those positive anecdotes are contrasted with the outright-hostile attitude that people of color regularly experience.

When liberals are being critical of cops, the criticism is largely directed at the institution itself, with its habit of overreaching its authority and protecting its own from prosecution whenever possible. It’s an institution that generally bristles at the mere suggestion that oversight is needed (rather than, say, acknowledging oversight as a crucial element of any system that bequeaths exceptional power upon individuals). The legal power to take another person’s life surely merits objective accountability, despite what our friends at the Fraternal Order might tell us. Cops are people – just as fragile and flawed as the rest of us.

When we are critical of cops, then, we’re not attempting to shit-talk your cousin, friend, sister or parent who’s worked on the force for years and represents its best characteristics. We’re criticizing a system that reflexively defends itself from any and all complaint with platitudes intended to shut down debate — such as “not all cops are bad.”
