Greeting everyone! I'm seeking information/guidance from fellow LEO's. I'm currently a federal investigator for a regulatory agency that primarily conducts "administrative, non-criminal" investigations. However, prior to joining this agency I was a uniformed police officer. I have a bit of a dilemma; recently I was offered a uniformed Supervisor position with a different federal agency. This position would require I relocate to the North West, at their expense, which I'm not crazy about. I'm currently in Florida. Also, this new position requires I take an approximately $14,500 pay cut & drop 2 grades. However, while I do enjoy my current job, I've always missed patrol & this is truly where my heart is. So my question is; should I absorb the pay cut & the required relocation in order to return to the job I love & miss or remain in my current position, which on the surface appears more practical? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
