    Not so F.A.S.T.

Mayor Kriseman’s uber liberal F.A.S.T. team

    Manuel Sykes (Hydra Lacy’s eulogizer)
    Michael Torop (Kriseman’s rabbi)
    John G. Tapp (Catholic priest)

Tapp. No wonder Kriseman hired flintom-the-diddler.

    Re: Not so F.A.S.T.

F.A.S.T. has good intentions but is misguided. They demand that someone come in to the hood to clean up drug hot spots but F.A.S.T. won't do anything to mobilize hundreds of inner city church members who see drug activity but don't report it.

They are part of the problem, not the solution.

They're sincere. They're misguided because mayors, police chiefs and the sheriff misguide them.

The Sheriff tells them they are doing a great job and keep it up. As long as the Sheriff gets to use F.A.S.T. to reach voters he doesn't care if they waste time or even undermine law enforcement.

F.A.S.T. tells church members to be afraid to call police and use an anonymous card they bring to church to secretly report crime. This process spreads fear and delays any useful tips.

So typical sothside operation: never take responsibility for your own problems.

They want to take responsibility but believe law enforcement authorities who give them a load of BS.

Holier than thou, and richer too. They pay ZERO property tax on massive real estate holdings in Pinellas -- see Diocese of St Petersburg http://www.pcpao.org/ That's why politics and religion don't (or shouldn't) mix.

Stand by there Tom. The Sheriff mobilized the only aggressive unit in your messed up little city, VCTF. Other than that blame SPPD and it's total mismanagement of it's resources for NEVER aggressively addressing it's GLARING drug problem. Blame the last two chiefs of police who either de-nutted the agency or were nutless themselves. Fixing St. Pete's problems would be simple.

    #1 Cut IA in half.
#2 Complaints would be evaluated by supervisors and remedied without IA if possible
#3 Major policy violations would require sworn statements by the complainants in person or no investigation
    #4 Pursue any fleeing felons
#5 Authorize PIT, Stop Sticks, and Boxing In to end pursuits immediately
#6 Use of Force Policy to reflect Florida Statutes Use of Force Continuum
#7 Reorganize Patrol to be sufficiently staffed
#8 Reorganize all special units to just Community Policing and Street Crimes, nothing else
#9 Vice and Narcotics - Delete the Vice aspect - actually buy drugs and arrest people
#10 Take the ****ing handcuffs off of officers and put them on every bad guy that crosses their path
