Tom Knight loses $597,593 employee lawsuit

The judge, attorneys and county attorneys all disagree with Mr. Knight, but Knight still refuses to admit defeat, but Mr. Knight still lost -- and now the taxpayers have to pay for Knight's 773k mistake. That's an expensive settlement, courtesy of Mr. Knight's incompetence. :roll:

Chris Knight also lost a gigantic lawsuit costing FHP millions, in addition to getting caught falsifying government documents. It looks like Tom Knight is doing the exact same crap that Chris Knight got caught doing. It's good that Tom Knight was held accountable by the courts. Money talks and bullshit walks.

I have a friend in Troop F who quit FHP and joined the Sarasota Sheriffs Office and he said that Tom Knight has turned the agency upside down by terrorizing deputies the exact same way that he used to terrorize the Patrol.

With multiple LEOs suing Knight, it clearly shows that there is a problem. Either the LEOs are the problen -- or Knight is the problem. The lawsuits speak loud and clear.

Actually the lawsuits are all from disgruntled employees. The SO has not not had a decent Sheriff in a long time. The vast majority enjoy and respect the Sheriff. great pay, good size agency,many opportunties to go into specialty units, uniforms and everything provided. You will have whiners in very agency.

There are always two sides to every story. If an employee is disgruntled, his complaint might still be legitimate, which is why the last disgruntled employee was given over a half-million dollars, based on the error(s) of Knight.

The last decent sheriff was Geoff Monge. There hasn't been a good Sarasota sheriff since he left. The current sheriff, Knight, tried to break the union, but he lost by a landslide, again, because he is not trusted.

Another employee lawsuit just came out last week (not the half-million one). I know that employee and he is not disgruntled, although since he filed suit against Knight, Knight might beg to differ. This one stems from a child pedafilia case involving a Knight appointee at the staff level (long story).

You guys are very blessed to have Sheriff Steube. Sarasota County can only envy you for what you have.

Both of the Knight brothers are trouble. Nobody wants them to come back here. Chris Knight was drummed out of FHP for falsifying government documents and he was arrested for domestic violence. Tom Knight was arrested by the Venice PD for disorderly conduct. The records of the Knight brothers speak loud and clear.

Everyone knows it's "Troop F" but F-Troop was the name of a 65-67 TV comedy about a dysfunctional U.S. Army outpost. Calling it F-Troop is a bit of parody, sarcasm, etc.
