Between court (FYI you have to make arrests) and your salary, F figures is not that difficult. So you rather have the old folks and Marielitos than the Gays. You have issues dude. M.B.P.D. is a great place to work for, we make good money only because the city needs us.
The money we make we earn, NOTHING is given to us for free.
The scenery is not bad either, doesn't matter if your gay or straight. That has never been an issue till recent.
The only problem with the department in the last 12 years has been it's leadership.
At the present time we have the RAM as chief. He's trying to be a leader but no luck he has failed from day one just like the infamous SECTOR FAILURE PLAN.
His second in command Deputy Chief M.O. I think will make a good chief one day.
The Majors are all SCUM
The Captains are all worthless, and tearing the department appart.
We still have a handful of good Lieutenants, but are stuck following oders from the idiots above them.
The Sergeants and Officers are the backbone and workants.

That said, still the only problem is the leadership. ..
