why do they even bother. Such a joke. The favorites always get shining reviews and the ones that work harder get mediocre reviews because then aren't brown nosing.

Should probably read the eval's before you sign them Ray. :x

It is a joke, what are they doing about the ones who score just above drooling on themselves? Or how about the ones who have continuous problems telling the truth, speeding, or use of force issues!!!

Those are the ones that are kept, maybe it's easier (less controversy) and cheaper to keep them around rather than hire and train someone new.

The problem with the evaluation process is a direct result of when you promote sergeants who cant make decisions, can't follow through, give up when it gets tough, and condones thumping people. When the sergeants/OIC's have no supervision and no recourse to their actions or lack of actions this is what you end up with.

It's only a matter of time before someone gets hurt due to the negligence of the Chief, Captain, Administrative Sergeant, and Patrol Sergeants/OIC's.

Well said. Davis does have issues telling the truth, Excessive force and speeding but that's not his fault its the departments for negligent retention. Some of these issued were brought to the FTO Sergeants attention, by numerous FTO's at the time; however, the FTO's were told to pass him. What is the point to having a scoring system or even a FTO program if the standards are not followed.

It is not that its less controversy (its most definitely cheaper) to keep them it is the lack of awareness. If one squad makes 3 arrests (on average) a shift, possibly one of them being legitimate, and another one averages one, they only see the numbers. They are not aware of the problems we face on a daily basis.

I agree that some of the Sergeants cant make decisions but some of them, most of them, make terrible decisions. Unfortunately its one extreme to the next with the four.

I refuse to blame the OIC's for one minute for lack of supervision. Why bother? You explain to your supervisor that your partner(s) are idiots and even tell them how to correct the problem yet nothing is done. Why should they have to do more work and not get paid any extra money.

I hope no one ever gets hurt, no I pray no one gets hurt, but you're 100% correct in the fact that the top three will ultimately be responsible.

This place is going down hill fast.
