2013 banquet

What was your favorite moment at this years circus?

Well ill be the first one to say it........the trashy wives who made the event all about themselves, once again lived up to their reputations and were a complete embarrassment.

This was my first banquet in a long time and now I remember why I don't attend.
The whole thing was a freaking joke from start to finish and don't get me started on the debauchery later on. Disgusting

As for the sgt. who was a drunk, hot head, womanizer: You are a disgrace to the department and your family.

To the city leaders, political officials, and other non-leo guests who attended, please accept this apology for the lack of professionalism and dignity this year.

Should have just signed your name. Then we could see how you measure up to your own high standards or at least put you on the Planning Committe for 2014.

I am one of numerous guys that have never been wasted at the banquet and never hit on other guy's wives.

It's so sad how a few bad apples can ruin the whole bunch. What is suppose be a time to celebrate those officers and supervisor who have done good things is over shadowed by idiots who couldn't keep their mouthes, or their pants shut and for that matter their wives mouthes and or legs shut to other men during the after party.

Wha?!?! We were there. What the heck happened? Maybe I don't want to know.
The banquet itself is lovely every year. I agree with the other poster. People need to realize they are in front of the city leaders and civilians. Mostly the presenters were a hot mess. Sorry, but its true. CL did an awesome job!!

Oh and my husband Is a sgt and doesn't act like a jackass. So there goes that theory! :lol:

I am sad to say this was probably our last banquet. We go every single year to support the police department and to enjoy a nice night out away from the kids. Rotten apples stink and if you don't want to smell them, stay away from them. Totally bummed as I will really miss going. .

I'm wondering if the drunk k9 sgt whose racial comments that offended some of the officers, making them feel uncomfortable and causing them to leave early, could be looking at some for of punishment for his off duty conduct? Hmmmmmmmmm

NO. THE WAY THINGS WORK AROUND HERE IS HE WILL BE PROMOTED. THAT'S HOW ITS DONE AT CPD. BY THE WAY. THIS KIND OF OVERALL ACTIVITY IS SOP NOW AT CPD. FDLE WOULD HAVE A FIELD DAY INVESTIGATING THIS AGENCY. ITS TIME CPD WENT THE WAY OF ST. PETE BEACH PD. NO, NO PUNISHMENT - JUST A PROMOTION TO LT. TAKE A LOOK AT THE STABLE OF LT'S CPD HAS. One should not be surprised at the current state of CWPD. We agree with this poster. No more. What people need to know, is this is daily at the PD. This is just seen more at events like this. But it is really what the PD is as an organization. Swingers, Infidelity, Bondage, Cheating, Porn Surfing, and more. This is how one gets noticed and selected or promoted. Look at the files of those selected or promoted. Clean files and clean lives for those passed over and not selected. Dirt and in some cases dirt to the max for those selected and promoted. And its just not sworn, is it civilian managers (or should we say commanders)? What a shame! And that does not even address the soul selling that goes on to get what they want. Values? Na - they do not exist. Our last time too!!
