    FRS Deductions???

Ok I thought Judge Fulford ORDERED the State to cease deductions for FRS and immediately reimburse plus interest. It's clearly stated in the final paragraph of her decision. Why are we still being robbed?????

    Re: FRS Deductions???

It's on appeal. Until all is completed don't count on it stopping. If it does and it is overturned and goes back into effect, then you will have to come up with all that is owed in 1 shot. You will get all back when it runs its course and is done in the courts. It sucks but has to be done.

Here is more info for you about your post. I took this from the FRS website.

    Williams vs. Scott Ruling
On March 6, 2012, the Circuit Court of the Second Judicial Circuit issued an order striking down Chapter 2011-68, Laws of Florida, as applied to individuals hired before July 1, 2011. This law required employees in the Florida Retirement System to contribute 3% of their salary towards their retirements and reduced the cost-of-living adjustment for benefits earned on or after July 1, 2011. The trial court’s decision has been appealed to the appropriate Florida appellate court, which results in an immediate stay of the order. Accordingly, while the stay remains in effect, no changes to benefits or deductions are being made.

The DCA refused to hear it. It is now on the way to the supreme court. That is supposed to be good for us for a number of reasons. The reason they won with Fulford and there was a summary judgement was due to the overwhelming evidence that was presented. Sounds good for us if you believe the reports.
