    Had Enough???

If you have had enough of the Good ole boy system of the Hall County Sheriff’s Office then veto for Richard Blevins for Hall County Sheriff.

Mr. Blevins has a vested interest in the community as he is raising two wonderful children (ages 9 &10) in Hall County and he is very concerned about the cutbacks and the toll it is having on the Sheriff’s Office’s ability to provide service and ensure our families are safe. When it comes to safety or lack thereof, there are NO excuses! The establishment seems to think that deputies can shoulder the burden of the economy and although sworn to uphold the law and protect the victims, the deputies themselves are being victimized.

As Sheriff, he will direct his attention to unnecessary government wastes and trim the fat from the TOP DOWN, not vice versa. When elected, he will balance a reasonable budget that will reflect fewer cuts to the front line deputies, more cuts to needless wastes, and hopefully dispel the threat of additional furloughs and potential layoffs. Take home cars will not be eliminated and he will preserve other benefits rumored to be in jeopardy. Collectively, these things effect service to the community and, he is not willing to risk safety and response to our citizens and the morale of our deputies for political favor.

Hall County has good men and women in uniform. Until now, they have not had a candidate willing to speak up on their behalf to ensure funding is available to keep them on duty with benefits and all the support and resources necessary to accomplish the task of keeping our neighborhoods and communities safe. All other candidates, including the establishment, have remained silent on these issues, but Mr. Blevins will advocate aggressively on their behalf by taking immediate steps to boost morale, heighten retention/recruiting efforts while alleviating tax dollar wastes. He will eliminate the fear and uncertainty that endures. In return, he will expect cooperation, accountability and loyalty with the same diligence. He will work with his staff - not against them! We will serve the public better, more efficiently, and will keep Hall County Safe!

Mr. Blevins is a firm believer in transparency and fairness. One of his first acts as Sheriff will be to create and name an Ombudsman to an Office of Ethics and Professional Standards, which will report directly to me and oversee policy, CALEA certifications, promotions, disciplinary actions, citizen issues and all sensitive internal matters. He will ensure we are following the most up to date/specific guidelines of proven policies and initiatives to be the most fiscally conservative – the most proactive community service oriented law enforcement agency in Northeast Georgia. He will invest tax dollars wisely in things that work, will reduce crime, bridge the gap between the Sheriff’s Office and surrounding agencies and improve our overall reputation with the citizens of Hall County. His command staff will be comprised with God-fearing experienced veterans with impeccable integrity and humility above reproach and a record of accomplishment of getting results. This will be the standard across the board, not the exception.

As emergency service cuts are made from the county budget, Mr. Blevins will make available first responder training to all deputies that will provide them with the skills necessary to giving life-sustaining treatment until other, more qualified medical personnel arrive. He will also offer other advanced law enforcement training that if taken can make deputies eligible for wage increases outside of the standard cost of living increases.

Unlike the other candidates, Mr. Blevins knows more than one aspect of policing; He is no stranger to hard times, misfortune and office politics run amuck. He completely identify with being forced to take furloughs, and layoff’s, not to mention the needless politics within an agency. It is his belief; a Sheriff’s Office should be neither partisan nor political. A Sheriff represents all the people equally and that is what he wants to do.

In closing if you want a Sheriff that will fight for you the Deputy and the citizens then vote for Richard Blevins for Hall County Sheriff!!!!!

I am not Mr. Blevins. I just support him....Hall County needs a person like Mr. Blevins as Sheriff. He is fair and will stand up for the Deputies. As I understand that is not being done....
