    THE DETAILS SIMPLY ARE IF YOU AGREE ON TAKING THE 12 HOUR SHIFT, YOUR GOING TO VOLUNTARILY GIVE THE CITY MORE OF YOUR MONEY. YOUR COURT MINIMUMS WILL BE AFFECTED. WHEN YOU NEED TO TAKE TIME OFF YOU WILL NEED 12 HOURS AND WITHOUT OT IMPOSSIBLE TO GET. DO YOUR TIME AND GET SOME SENIORITY SO YOU CAN GET THE WEEKENDS OR BETTER FOR YOUR FAMILY LEAVE TO ANOTHER DEPT. :idea:

    12 hour shifts are MEAT GRINDERS!
    Alpha/Bravo shifts are temporary for emergencies; however, doing them constantly will kill you!
    You will get rotating days off where you will not be able to scheddule off-duty ahead of time. If you have court you will be deprived of sleep, etc, etc, etc.
    Been there, done that. Avoid them.
