Since you respond here often and check the site several times a day, you have read negative threads about you. I have deleted some posts about you that were slams and I do not see you complaining about that. As for the free speech, this is not a government website but a privately owned one so that does not apply here.

MOD 610
I am certainly not looking for a battle neither. I also felt that this Ed Pope thing has went on for quite some time. And yes it was and is getting old. If you noticed I opened it up to start conversation about other candidates and that is where the discussion was going. It would be a disservice to the members and participants within this forum to stop communication about the candidates for Sheriff. It would also be a disservice to the candidates themselves.
Regardless of the subject we are going to get posts like the one last night that called me some wonderful and colorful names. That is just part of life. And you are correct I did not complain about them being removed because that is what the rules state. However the rules do not state that you can tell us what we can or cannot talk or debate about. It states that if the post is inappropiate it wll be removed and that is the way it should be. No different than the Havel posts.
It appears that Ed Pope was bashed and now that there are other candidates you are going to stop the debates. I understand your position as a moderator and certainly would not want your job. You must remain netural and impartial and by censoring our input will eliminate that position.
This is just my opinion and I would hope that you would see both sides. You are in control so I will respect your opinion. We are going to select a new Sheriff this year and if that is not a Law Enforcement subject I have never seen one. And it needs to be discussed.
I thank you for you time and consideration.

Re: Eddie Pope is running
Debate is fine and encouraged but bashing and slamming is out of line. A long repeat of the same stuff over and over turns into slam and not debate. As for seeing both sides, I do and that is why I let a lot more go than I probably should. If I do not keep a tight lid on it and it gets carried away, it will spin out of control and well you can go from there.
Your input is well noted and appreciated here.

Hey DG, are you scared that everyone is going to find out what type of person you really are??? I was at the forum when BC, EP and FR spoke. I watched the facial expressions of BC, DG and BP when EP spoke of the issues with CCSO and that he was going to expose them all during this campaign. I almost fell out of my chair in laughter as I watched all of you cringe in your chairs. For those that weren’t there, EP’s speech was right on the money and rained on a BC’s speech that mainly discussed how wonderful of a job he was doing and that things with agency are just terrific. EP made it clear that the cover ups, conspiracies and favoritism in the CCSO had to stop and that this was the time to end the good old boy system for good. I asked EP to post the speech and he stated he was. I wasn’t really sure of the message that FR was trying to get across to the audience and I don’t believe he did either. Anyway, DG, we all know about GZ and the Lincoln so brace yourself it’s going to be a rough ride!!!!!
Good Luck EP!

Re: Eddie Pope is running
When others continually criticize and trash another it generally means that they feel threatened by that person. If a person is of no threat or significance to another, they are overlooked, ignored and not given the time of day. So with that being said with all the trash posts against EP I would guess that he has a lot of people worried and scrambling trying to discredit him so that their jobs are protected. If he is elected, they may become a statistic in the unemployment figures.

Melo ran an honorable campaign and has more integerity than anyone I know. Cameron spent 166,000 on his campaign and Melo only 9,000. Cameron bought a victory he did not win. This makes Melo the winner in my eyes. So before you attempt to make people look less then they are why don't you look at the truth first.

Re: Eddie Pope is running
As much as I appreciate the last post I must say the subject of the Sheriff's race is not me. I am not running as I stated before. So I do wish that those attempting to change the focus on what is really important remove your head from your four point of contact and get real. Do something that might make a positive difference in your life.

In fact, I would bet that you have never served your country and have failed at just about everything you attempted in life which would explain how you got the administrative position that you’re in. Now that's a failure!!
