A recent post by 1st Degree Hypocrite in the thread "Chalk One Up For The Pretty Girls-Straight Shooter" is astoundingly filthy.

One of the less offensive passages is: "So ya I banged her, and two weeks later she blew me in the parking lot. Then a week later she blew me again, while working, lol. So why trash her. Because we all need sluts and we all run wild from time to time. But I got married recently and settled down."

After reading the lengthy, anonymous tirade against an obviously identifiable individual, I asked myself why the moderator(s) would permit such an obvious and egregious violation of the Terms of Use.

So I went back to the beginning of the thread and found THE ORIGINAL POST WITH A LINK TO THE NEWS STORY THAT IDENTIFIED THE INDIVIDUAL HAD BEEN DELETED.

Sorry, Mod(s) but I consider this a cop out. By the time that you got around to removing the link, everyone who is following the thread knows who it is about.

YOU SHOULD DELETE THIS ENTIRE THREAD IMMEDIATELY.

It is disgusting that you permit an anonymous individual to malign anyone in such a manner.

First off there was never a link to the original news story that is attached to this post. Second the post violated no rules. No names mentioned.
Sure most know who it is, but come on how often does a deputy place a gun in their mouth and take photo in uniform? And that's one of many unacceptable photos she took. You are a cry baby. Why dont you or your friend stop taking such trash photos, and if this is not you then tell her. Which is worse? Taking trash like that and making the SO look stupid. Or posting about and not naming the person? If ya don't like the rules tuck your tail and run. This is a big boy site not Disney. Real issues here. You said it yourself. No rules have been broken. This thread is nasty, but until after your complaint, still was too general in terms of any one person. Since then, it began to narrow down people. I, too, found the thread reprehensible, but freedom of speech is just that and if you don't like what people write, then don't read it!! However, I did delete the entire thread. It really saddens me to see how bad we trash each other in public like this. I may be old school, but I am always there for my fellow deputy/officer irregardless of how I personally feel about him or her. Because when the crap hits the fan, we are all we have! Stay safe!

I don't know wether to applaud your decision of cry foul. I believe I was caught up on almost every post, although the last I read was around 6pm. So perhaps I missed something therefore will with hold crying foul. But up to that point I did not see any names mentioned in particular, and I did not see a single word that by itself qualifies by any standard as offensive. Now if I missed something then I missed it. But if it was deleted just because someone was offended, then we have a serious problem. I can reference several posts that without a doubt violated terns of service. Yet they live on. But oh well, we will all live. True no names where mentioned but hey, it was not hard to figure out who this was directed at. But.... Like I told that person in person, never take a photo you don't want the world to see. And to be completely honest, I found several of the pictures to be very very troubling. Because I have seen people B.A.'ed for less.

Brother, as a side note that post sickened me as well, but it was not the content, it was the fact that these pictures exist. That makes me ill, and completely ashamed to have ANY association with them. It really pisses me off. But I really get angry that to this very day the only thing said is " oh they where private and stolen". Never, not once have I or anyone else heard a sorry, or a mistake was made. Sickening. So by that way of thinking if some theif steals a computer and finds evidence of child porn and victim info, we should just through away and forget. Some people need to get real. But that's all that was said, they where stolen, not her fault. Well it appears that's not the case either. But who cares right! Hey I'm just telling it like it is. I would be willing to bet that she or someone close cried foul here. If that's the case there is a big problem. But and yes there are alot of buts here, because of the way this whole matter has been handled people are up in arms. Think about this. What do you think even the least competent attorney will do to her if she was needed to testify in a case. Do you really think a jury will ever believe a word from her mouth? My wife is a attorney, and won't say where she works, but it would not be hard to guess... She told me point blank that she would not even think about trying a case with her as a witness or arresting officer, not a chance. This job is all about credibility. As such these images and everything that comes with them is fair game on court. So there ya go. So we put a deputy in a vehicle , hand her a gun and badge, and say what? Go out there and do your job. Just make sure you will never have to testify. That sir, really really kills me.

Really. Are you sure your in the right spot. A post that makes sense. Listen here, if I had a child with a woman like that I would run. I was close enough to hear all that a few years ago. If memory serves me correct she slammed him left and right and did in fact put him through hell. That's what kills me. Well that and everything else with this girl. They both work here, and everyone knows what happened. It was very well known. And let's face it, he is very well known and to the best of my knowledge very honest, respectful, and professional. She on the other hand came here with a slimy trail of rumors all the way back to her days at Polk County. Yet when she pulled the same crap here and put that guy through a world of hell she had people holding her little hand like she was a victim. Clearly the ones holding her hand where the same ones holding even more which led to the break. Yet this was allowed. Condoned. Amazing what a few stripes on your shirt will get ya.
So she marries someone outside the agency who doesn't know her past. Pulls the same crap she always does, then tells him she was sexually harassed. Lmfao. The only one guilty of that us her. The new guy says screw this, and may or may not have been shot with her taxer, easy to figure that out. Her version is she has no idea what happened, he refused to give statement, hmmmm let me take a minute to figure that one out. Then the new guy, and ya gotta love him, posts those now famous pictures. A couple days layer he gets arrested because she claims he broke into her house, yet they ate still married at that time. I think that one is still up in the air. I mean HELLO. anything and everything around this girl reads like a comic book. Maybe the two ex's need to get together and compare notes. She has a pattern for gods sake. The one post is accurate. If she ever steps into court she is done. Her IA record is fair game everytime. Someone better keep that thing out of my area. I don't need a problem like that.

First off. Am I blind or did you post this anonymous? Noe that your choking on your own words I will continue. Can you really claim to be disgusted and maligned by a post that may or may not be true, when the "victim" in question took and did in fact send pictures like we all saw? Are you serious. So these words are soooooo bad, yet they do in fact have some merit. It was admitted to, after first denying , that the pictures where in fact accurate and unmodified. So how about it. Are you saying that the fact she might be hurt by these statement, which I might ad never gives names, is somehow more important than the embarrassment she brough to everyone that wears the uniform. Sweetheart that math only works in a very small zone in D2. God forbid I break the rules here by naming who you are, but it's real easy to tell it's her shadow. The only one dumb enough to follow her to the unemployment line.

Because I was made aware by a friend of the thread that prompted 'DID THE MODS COP OUT?', I'd like to comment. Within this thread 'canyouread?' implied that I'm the person that made a prior posting, by using the initials TR. I didn't and I'll say that not because I feel the need to defend myself nor that individual. I do have integrity. We may not be able to say other peoples names on this forum, but I have no problem saying my own, Tammy Rios. I have done nothing to prompt any of this, but I refuse to sit silent while individuls make claims and false accusations about me. I have scanned LEOAFFAIRS at times since it's inception, primarily during high-profiled office issues, and have posted a response only once, EVER and that was many years ago to defend a retired Sergeant. It's worth noting that the Sergeant at the time was under a similar attack.
I won't hide behind a username, when talking about "REAL ISSUES". I have no problem owning what I feel or say. It would be nice if all post could be articulated and expressed with the clarity and maturity displayed by the original poster of this thread. We do not have to agree with what's posted, but it should be expected that we behave in a manner befitting the Profession we chose.
The allegations that were made by the coward on the previously removed thread are lies. Yes, I do feel as the originator of this thread did, it was very malicious. In regards to a 'Cruise' picture, feel free to present it to me in person. I never conducted myself in manner that I would have cause to be ashamed. That was a cruise taken as a respite from the rough personal and professional events that took place in 2010. Some of which have been discussed in this forum.
I love my chosen Career and I believe that we should stand by our Friends, Brothers/Sisters or Colleagues in this or any profession. I find it disturbing that the belief is often that we leave our Friends hanging during a bad time. I sincerely hope that I have been better with choosing the people that I call Friends, than to have in my circle someone who runs for cover the second things get tough.I would not expect a Friend to agree with me on every decision I make, however as Friends I would expect that they stand by you even if you 'F' up and they should expect the same from me. The people I'm lucky enough to call Friends are not like that, to include those mentioned in a previous thread. A divorce from a 20 year marriage, a single mom w/4 teenage boys (19,18,16 & 14), the loss of my Aunt (the mother-figure in my early years and best friend for the remainder) passing in 01/10 and my Mother passing in 03/11, car breakdowns, crashes, work stresses and financial stresses are just a few of the things my Friend been there for. I lost two Mom's in one year and the only person that cared enough to check on me or my family was my Friend and ZP. I don't take that lightly or with disregard.
We are each human and we each screw up. I require more forgiveness and patience than most that I know. And I will readily ask for that if the occasion should arise and it does (almost minute to minute). That being said, it' a choice because I own who I am, what I feel, what I say or what I do. It's cowardice to spout accusations hiding behind a screen. I'm tired, the past few years have been rough, but make no mistake about it, I will not simply stand by while such awful things are claimed. If I mess up, I'll say it. Do not spread rumors about me, because I remain Friends with my Friends even in the storm. Trust me, I'm not crying, I'm declaring! First off. Tammy, if this is you and I believe it is I recognize your writing style, I applaud you for writing what you did, and how you said it. I will say, WITHOUT, defending anyone here that many post anonymous because a few month ago we where told directly never to participate in this or any other forum like this. Of course they pass that directive verbally. Perhaps it's different down in the other districts. So yes some of us have to.

To the point. And you don't have to answer here. If one of the people you call a friend and or a coworker, commits a couple pretty serious felonies, would you still call them a friend? Would you risk your job for someone else's total disregard? Could they really be a friend and do such a thing knowing it would affect you personally and professionally.?

I can answer that, and I stand with the majority. A friend would never put me in harms way. A friend would never embarrass me and lie to me. A friend is a friend for life, until they lie, or put me in harms way.

Perhaps these are good days to remind those around us of that. I'm your friend for life, don't let me down.

Ya know what. Some of these posts are long as heck. Please..My scrolling finger is toast. Lets get down to the point. Feelings aside, which is tough if its a friend, should she have been fired yes/no.

I vote yes and this is my short answer why. The gravity of a offense should always take into account the victims of the case. If its a victimless crime, or one that the majority falls back to the one that did it, then take it into account, give them appropriate punishment, and move about. In this case I had to look at what should be, what we would like to think, and by all accounts needs to be considering the blood / sweat / and tears that stain our uniform has made it deserve respect. By seeing that uniform that some good men died in, worn by a person who is sticking a gun in their mouth. Fake or not, who cares, makes me very sick. And we are not talking about one photo here. She should have burned the flag while she was at it, who cares right.

You think about this case in those terms, and those alone, cause thats the bottomline. You want to screw around do it on your own time. Last point. Dont we ourselves say that most are never caught, and if they get caught for this they most likely have much more out there. Whats next? But now Im typing my opinion, and maybe thats not fair. So skip this and go back to the one above. Case Closed.
