Transfers???

Any info on the upcoming changes? I hear a new YRD - P.A.L. Detective position has been created.

Mr Big, you must be Mr New. We had a PAL Detective for years and he went to Lakewood as a SRO and his spot wasn't filled until now. :devil:

Who is Bobby Johnson???? Is this the new hire that was selected to be an a/sgt by a certain female sgt who does not know what marijuana smells like? This department is becoming a joke on who or how fast they will promote officers with little or no experience. I saw the list, most deserve their transfers but there are many that once again have been passed up. Chucky, you wonder why there is low morale within your department. We all know you don't care, but lets get people in positions that deserve a chance not keep passing on officers for personal reasons. That goes for you guys also Dave Dekay and Luke Williams. Cedric, keep walking around the department with your hands in your pockets, we know that you have no input. Maybe the bathrooms could use new hand towels!!

Did anyone see a memo for the PAL position? Must have been another one of those tap you on the shoulder "hey your getting this position" moves. Guess the fact he did not face any serious disciplanary action for taking gratuties from Obama Express got overlooked. We will see how long he lasts, he has already been spotted hanging out southside on his offdays...thats a long drive to make just to get with some quality females haha...looks like wyatt is teaching him well

The person with the most seniority should ALWAYS get the promotion or transfer EVERY SINGLE F%$@ING TIME! If there was a strong union like they have up north, there wouldnt be any of this crap where they pick people because of how much work they do! I dont give a danm if you write ten times more citations or if you make ten times more arrests or if you solve ten times more crimes or what! It doesnt matter if you sit under a tree every shift because seniority should count 100% for every single friggin promotion or transfer! You didnt get all up in arms about people sitting under trees and get them fired so it just must not be that damn important afterall is said and done! Sitting under the tree and TAKING ALL THE CALLS YOU GET DISPATCHED TO is enough to collect a paycheck so it must be good enough for seniority-based promotions and transfers or else start writing people up and firing them if that isnt good enough! When a strong union gets in here this crap of picking people because they write citations and arrest people will go BYE BYE so dont get used to it, ROOKIES!

Giving positions to officers with little time on is one of the big reasons this place is such a mess. Besides not deserving the PAL position it makes the ones who do work hard, do a good job, and have time on very unhappy. I am not saying Johnson would not be a good pick down the road but you have to pay your dues. This is also true with promotions. We mostly have an upper staff of incompetent people because of promoting based on everything but merit....All any of us are asking is to be fair. As we all know as along as we have people like Luke around it will never be fair.
