At 30 MPH, the damage would be significant to the front end and hood, but a 1000lb bull would not roll up into the windshield.

At 60 MPH, the damage would be significant to the front end and hood, and a 1000lb bull might well roll up into the windshield.

Since the speed limit in that area is over 50 MPH, at night , with 2 1000lb black bulls that may have entered the roadway as the officer approached, the damage does seem appropriate.

I still have to disagree with you. Being a THI investigator for over 20 years, yes the bull would roll up over the vehicle. A bull is top heavy so when the bull was hit, most of the impact was to the lower body and legs. This would cause the bull to flip onto the hood and into/through the windshield. It is a lot different than a human being hit as the weight, mass and shape has different dynamics. Either way, the damage is consistant with a hit at either 30 or 60mph. I hope the officer is recovering well.
