    Psychology of jokes

Why we laugh has been the subject of serious academic study, examples being:

    * Immanuel Kant, in Critique of Judgement (1790) states that "Laughter is an effect that arises if a tense expectation is transformed into nothing." Here is Kant's 219-year old joke and his analysis:

    Cool Psychology of jokes

Humor is a breaking of expectations. This effect makes us surprised and laugh.

For example like in this joke that my friend from a free essay writing service told me

I started losing my hair, and sometimes I feel bad about it...

Like this morning when my wife ran her fingers through my hair, but I had already left for work!"

So, a joke has a defined structure, and you can use it to learn how to joke.
