Thank God! Now, we won't have to spend 10 minutes each day with the air held for four cooper city units to "clear" a house (with a simple 48 on a 49)... "Give us the air, we're going to check the interior of the house with no signs of forced entry and some obscure rear door left unlocked...even though it's the busiest time of the day and it could really affect OTHER officer's safety, we don't give a crap because it makes us feel important."

Sounds like a bad move to me. Cooper City boarders our city and with them on our channel it wasn't too busy. We went from having SW Ranches, Weston, and Cooper City on our channel to now, just us. Don't find it necessary.

it is a necessary move per BSO CDC to get new digital radios. It is a grant that Davie just got to purchase all this equipment by the end of January

Actually, several different districts are changing. So, it's not just because of a grant that Davie may have received.

True. Had several incidents happen that were just on the other side of Griffin but one department wasn't aware of another department's call for help until finally the dispatcher was TOLD to notify the other one.
