TPD officer shot and killed

I hope this is not true but rumor has it a TPD officer was just shot and killed.

I have not heard the condition of the Officer, but heard on the news he was shot during a traffic stop. My throughts and prayers are with the Officer, his family and all of his fellow officers. Please be safe!

We lost a great man and good officer. It is in fact true.

My prayers and thoughts go out to Mike's family. Although I do not know them personally I feel as though I've lost a brother.

From everyone in FHP our thoughts and prayers are with the officer's family and the Tampa Police Department.

0, gentle Lord!

Keep the daylight watch with me.

As I begin my tour of duty,

I ask Your protection from all mental, physical and spiritual harm.

Sustain me with the knowledge that I am doing Your work,
endeavoring to keep peace among Your people.

Help me to be just as I enforce the law without prejudice or favor to anyone.

May I be courageous but not reckless in carrying out my duties.

Let me respond to all calls with haste realizing that so many are dependent on me for life and safety.

Support me with your consoling power when I am tempted
to think no one really cares and that I am taken for granted.

Sustain in me the conviction that so many thousands do care
