staffing c-wing
Heres a win win idea. By bringing in a private company to run the kitchen, the county can staff 2 floors of the new addition. This includes a sgt and cpl per floor, with 12 deputies in housing. By doing this, NPR can stay open, saving cost on closing/ re-opening and bringing the old building up to code. Not to mention housing the juveniles and ad-segs. We need to work harder on getting Federal inmates in our jails to generate cash, I'm sure we could justify a few more transport deputies to make this happen.

Shut the **** up, you have no clue what you talk about and do not understand what the implications would be.

The kitchen crew does their job cheaper and better than an outside company can. I've got a good weight loss plan..... How bout walking up the ramp to work everyday and then take a lap around your pod every 30 minutes

I do agree about Willy. The only thing he does is make soup in the morning & decorate the cakes for the retirement parties.

Re: staffing c-wing
Maybe if we got the other counties to send us thier sentenced inmates and paid us for it, we wouldn't need Federal inmates and we could keep NPR open.

Actually the feds no longer need any more housing for their prisoners. The major tried to redo the contract to turn the fed inmates into a winning proposition but Sarasota and Pinellas already house all the feds and they do the transports.
