From crop-dusters to corporate jets, how do we secure small airports? There are 19,000 general aviation airfields around the country where pilots store and enjoy their aircraft. The 9-11 terrorist attacks highlighted the need for a new level of security for these smaller, regional airfields. This free Live Response webcast from the National Terrorism Preparedness Institute (NTPI) offers important information to law enforcement officers.

During the May 27, 2009 webcast airing from 2-4 pm EDT, find out how first responders can safely operate on airport facilities and confidently respond to incidents. Also, learn how to enhance security while recognizing the diversity of general aviation airports and their limited resources.

Viewers will also see how the General Aviation Security Training course offered by Waukesha County Technical College presents solutions through community training and response, primarily through the aid of local first responders.

The webcast can be found at http://terrorism.spcollege.edu. You will need a login and a password to access the live webcast, so please go to the web site early and click on NTPI registration in the upper left. CEUs are available.
