just one of many at PBSO in the media...at least he was off duty!!! but I don't think that is "simple battery" !!! if that is true what the victim claims, more physical and more serious...lets see how long he stays on Admin leave with PAY!!! oh BYE GRIFFITH...guess he escaped and gets to keep his retirement ...hmmmmm

A Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office corrections deputy remains on paid administrative leave today after being arrested on charges of beating the mother of his child in Jupiter, according to police.

Konstandinos Patzanakidis, 47, was arrested Saturday by police on a charge of simple battery.

The 34-year-old victim, who is the mother of Patzanakidis' 5-year-old child and is pregnant with another of his children, told police that the couple got in an argument early Saturday morning and the Patzanakidis tried to grab her several times before ripping off her glasses and grabbing the back of her neck.

The woman told police that he pushed her face into a counter top, causing her to hit her teeth, mouth and left wrist on the counter, then grabbed the phone away from her as she tried to call 911, according to the report.

The woman was taken to Jupiter Medical Center, but did not suffer any major injuries.

Patzanakidis was arrested and then released on his own recognizance later Saturday, according to jail records.

Sheriff's spokeswoman Teri Barbera said the corrections deputy has been placed on paid administrative leave while the incident is reviewed.

Couldnt have happened to a nicer guy. Probably one of the most arrogant people I have ever met. Came to law enforcement as a crossover but failed out and was placed back over as a jailer.
