A deputy was driving Jennifer E. Schneider, 23, to jail late Wednesday when she got her hand out of one side of the handcuffs, officials said. Schneider reportedly smacked Deputy Jeffery Lambright through the cage that separates the back of the car from the front, pulling his shirt before he could pull over.

Lambright pulled into a parking lot on Ringling Boulevard and tried to get Schneider under control, and she reached for his gun, reports say.

As they fought in the back seat, a bystander ran over, reached into the car and jerked Schneider away. The men then took the woman to the ground, according to arrest documents.

Schneider was initially picked up for violating her probation. She wound up being charged with several felonies.

Jeff's a nice guy and, by opening the partition-window, he was probably allowing the air conditioning to reach into the back seat because it can get up to 120 degrees back there. The only alternative is to allow the prisoner to suffer in the 120 degree heat. Mmmmmmm we might be on to something here!!!
