the offenders have finally demonstrated how well armed they have gotten over the past years. we've all known about it, but now it has been demonstrated. how easily could they do the same thing to a patrol unit? it may be time to break out the ARs and put them on the road.
one of us is going to 10-50 one of these suspects at some point, even if we dont know it. who wants to put a 9mm handgun or a pump shotgun up against a fully automatic AK-47 or M-16.
we have the tools, we just need to implement them...even if its one patrol rifle per shift!!

Do you really think the brass will consider putting AR's in our cars? It would be nice to have them considering we live in a red neck town with have the population owning rifles. It is only a matter of time! I do believe some of us actually are carrying AR in the trunk at this moment. :shock: :shock:
