Hiring Process

I am considering applying when I see an opening. Where are the psychological, polygraph, and medical conducted?

Is it done out of a local office or all in Tallahassee?

I do not work there, but was told that the phyc and med are in Tallahassee and they don't do polys. This could be dated information, maybe someone will confirm. good luck

only 1 trip to Tallahassee, for the psych test. Medical is done locally.

If you pass your interview, background, and psych, your next trip to tallahassee will be paid, per deim, to get sworn in and get your weapon and equipment.

I came from a P.D. in central Florida after 20 years and moved to north Florida. This is a great job after running 911 for that time. Laid back, but can do as much police work as you want. All of the command in Tallahassee come from P.D's and S.O's and they let you go if you know what your'e doing.
