The Boynton Beach Police Department is holding a blood drive on Wednesday for 8-year-old Margaret Schoenfeld, daughter of Officer Steve Schoenfeld.
Maggie was recently diagnosed with Leukemia and is in need of O – (negative) blood.
Community Blood Centers of South Florida will have a bloodmobile in the parking lot of Boynton Beach City Hall, 100 E. Boynton Beach Blvd., from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday. Those with O – (negative) blood are urged to come and donate.
Individuals wishing to donate at another time can do so at any Community Blood Centers or Florida Blood Centers locations “In Honor of Margaret Schoenfeld.”
Maggie is also in desperate need of blood platelets. Anyone with – (negative) blood type can donate platelets. This cannot be done in the bloodmobile. Individuals wishing to donate platelets can do so by making an appointment at any Community Blood Centers or Florida Blood Centers locations “In Honor of Margaret Schoenfeld.”
